I was looking at his site. He's based in Chicago. I'm also wondering if anyone dealt with him before. Sounds good, who's going to be the first to try him out lol

Very interesting. Obviously someone that is forum related. Could it be Speedy G back in business? Great idea only doing the easiest movements to work on. Almost impossible to screw up and replacement movements are cheap.

  1. Are you affiliated with any forums?
I am currently not affiliated with any replica or homage forums. I do sometime browse various forums and I fully support the efforts of the members of these forums. I find them to be a great resource and I advise anyone truly interested in replica watches, homage watches and watch modifications to utilize the wealth of information available to them via these great sites. If you are looking for information regarding replica's, I personally prefer the chaps over at RWI, where you'll find a good deal of enthusiasts and the forum is administered and moderated buy a good group of guys.

I ended up contacting RWR for a quote and I might be shipping my 318 off for him to repair, clean and lube. I'm kinda scared though...

Let me know. He's based in the Chicagoland area. He did tell me he reads the forums.

I sent my first Rep last month. All went smooth and uneventful. I just sent 3 more Reps for service. I will post a comment went they return. ReplicaWatchRepair.com's process is easy. Just fill out the brief online form and mail your watch.

I just saw this website and am researching it. Thanks door the info. Seems very reasonable. I was looking into oiling my autos but die about $100 I'm not not risking it and sending it to him! Let us know of any issues arise please and thank you!

I'm pretty sure they are legit. I was just asking a gal there named Amy a few questions about the loudness if my a7750 movement. Got a clear, concise. and quick response which is something pretty rare in this hobby! I figure that's a good sign at least.

I had my local watchmaker in LA service a seagull movement but in hindsight it wasn't worth it. You can buy them new for about $60 and have it installed for $50 vs. paying $160 for a service.

But new, it still needs a service. So it is still better to have it serviced! ;-)

I am of the opposite school of thought. Run to fail, then have it repaired (or possibly replaced, if it's a dud upon receipt).

So far, I've been very luck with all of my Rep movements. Only have manual and 7750's though. ;-)

I have A6497, A7750, Seagull and P.3000 superclone based PAMs. So far, no issues on the watch operation. :)
