You just learnt the hard way people here won’t go easy on newbie’s questions
You can’t replace your rehaut. It’s a solid part of your midcase. You’d need to change the whole case.

Hmm .........rainbows are fairly normal but cotton candy is definitely not right. Are you sure your "O" ring is seated correctly?

On a more serious point, does anyone know anyone who can re-engrave an existing rehaut once it has been "smoothed". I'm not necessarily thinking about the entire RRR sequence but more along the lines of replacing a random serial number with one in sequence for older watches in the period 2008-10?

There are 2 hidden screws in the O of Rolex, just screw those out, and the whole thing pops off.

The later ones have a push button release in the coronet. No more scratched rehaut.
