Rep serial numbers?

Do rep watches also have rep serial numbers? I ask because after a big party, friends of mine found a Rolex left at their house. They contacted everyone - but no one claimed it which seemed crazy to me. Could it be because it's a rep I theorized - but they took the bracelet off and it does have a serial number. Is it still possible it's a rep? (Looked up the number online - it does come back to an older DJ model.)

Yes they do have serials. Which way do you need to turn the crown to advance the hands clockwise? Does it look suspiciously new or worn in? Can you see the Rolex crown on the crystal at 6 o'clock clearly without needing a magnifier?
If you can get some clear photos we can probably tell for you.

I forgot all about the crown at the 6. I have a gen Rolex. Your eyes are better than mine (I had to take a close up picture and look at it on my phone.) Thanks for the reminder - that's a great 'tell' i'll share with them. Didn't know about advancing the hands.

Actually, the point is you shouldn't be able to see it clearly, the ones on reps are far too visible.

what is the serial number in the rehaut? and what is the bracelet and clasp code?

Also movements and cases have codes like part numbers, they should all match to that model / serial. reps dont.

but as TB said, show a photo, the Rolley guys on here can spot the most miniscule of tell tale signs without looking into serials.
