No kidding lol. I have a collection of Ray Bans and would never buy fakes. Someone once sent me a fake pair, pretty convincing too unless you have genuine pairs to compare with. Still wouldn't waste the money on fakes when the real ones aren't expensive. Eye health is worth the price.
Funny someone would spend $500 on a rep Rolex, but god forbid they spend $150 on real sunglasses

Yep, no problem buying gen for these. However, I'm sure most of you know about the market control of Luxottica, along with how inexpensive sunglasses from China pass all the same quality tests that expensive shades pass. There's lots of info out there.
That's why you buy Polarised real glass.

Luxottica having a market share is a poor excuse. Nestlé and Kellogg have market shares on food too. Canada has cheaper prices on RayBans than us in the States, just FYI. I have a pair I'm wearing right now that were almost half the price I'd pay down here.
As for lense quality, they are not the same, particularly when it's the polarized lenses. To add to that, I can send my RayBans to get serviced if I have any issues or need new lenses. The hinges are cheap plated pot metal, not stainless steel. You can't even heat up the arms to contour them to your ears like a genuine pair.
But whatever makes you feel better at night lol. I'll keep my genuine RayBans. Buying fakes would never cross my mind for something so inexpensive.
RayBan is probably not worth it, anything else is tho.

I've used Edward (Lat Long) in the past. He's a TD over at Fashionreps on Reddit. Very good communication, excellent quality. Gives QC with UV testing and all that. I think I paid $30 for a pair of non polarized sunglasses and $8 for shipping.
