This has been such a fun thread! I had to pull out some old albums in order to get the polishing beat rate correct.

Thanks, I received one CapeCod cloth as part of an exchange a few days ago, so I'll give it a try this week. That's if I can stand the smell for any length of time

Seems like the lady in your avatar and Billy Idol might get along just fine
alvinado said:I use cape cod and it works to great effect.. for ti cases, I leave it as it is as I like the color of the oxide coating..
alvinado said:yes it makes it lighter, after a few days it will oxidise again

Haven't got around to it yet. I was about to, then I opened up the CapeCod, and closed it again seconds later - hate that smell. I picked up some latex gloves too, chemicals don't agree with my skin
sexybearbear said:For scratches on the titantium , what do you use? I saw some thread mentioning some eraser pen...any feedback....actually for the titanium casing, they are merly coated surface, right. Not 100% titanium, right?

sexybearbear said:Holy cow, i have used it. Yeap from 30 cm away, it seems that the hairline scratch has being buffered off 40%.
Holy s**t!!!! when i put it 10 cm under the bright light. There are a few hundred tiny "Polished lines" if you know what i meant! The Panerai casing is suppose to be mirror polished. There is a swirl.....
Please do not use it ! I have used it on my Gen PAM 111. Thank goodness, it is the lug area.

Are you referring to the ink eraser or 3M pad? Please clarify what you're referring to. Also you mention using "it" on a 111. Why on earth would you do that? We are talking about titanium cases here - the 111 is a stainless steel case with a polished finish, completely different subject. For 111 cases, CapeCod should be used, followed up with polishing.
