Removing crystal from PAM 127 Fiddy

Hi Folks!

I got a Noob 127 recently and wasn't happy with the crystal, so I want to replace it with a better one. I removed the bezel + crystal but don't seem to be able to push the crystal out of it. Does anyone have experience doing this and can give me some pointers? Should I just go for it and use more force? Is it glued inside?

you will have to say how it looks when fitted as I haven't seen any reviews of this before. Usually the new noobs aren't too bad.

Aren't you an eager beaver... you removed the crystal before receiving the new one!! LOL

I have the KW 127 and the crystal looks fine to me but I'm looking forward to seeing a before and after pic when you're done with the mod

How does one remove the bezel and crystal on the PAM127? I've read that its front a loaded movement but I have no idea how to remove the bezel...

There is a notch in the bezel, usually around 11 o'clock, where you can fit a thin screwdriver between it and the case, and pry it open. Then just push the crystal out of the bezel from behind (inside).

I think I fucked it.. arghhh I don't think this one is a front loaded on with the notch you describe. Only scratches after I tried to open it like an idiot. Thanks anyway mate

It’s a lot easier, at least to me, to unmount the movement from the back. Just Two screws, one for each he tab, and the stem (careful not to overturn) and out goes everything .
