And that it where Trustys website should be revised if the movement is the sunken date version. Call it a V2 or whatever. The explicitness of that description is what influenced you to go ahead with the order with them.

Exactly!
He sees nothing wrong with the description and thinks it is just fine even though his stance is that the watch “never made it to market.”
if anything, that just makes it even more of a misrepresentation as is it willful. But, I get it.. he has thousands of watches on that site, how is he supposed to keep up with one particular watch.. so I see both sides of it!
someone will scoop this thing up m2m...

IMO, the panda is nicer looking than the black dial. And you got the correct font on the date.

Yea, just really recessed!
i freaking love it man. I will desperately try to figure out a way to fix the date wheel in this one.. if the spacing is right, I may put an eta 7753 in it

Hey, Slanglican, gorgeous watch!

I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but an ETA7753 - or an A7753 for that matter - won't solve your pet peeve. While any of those two movements would definitely make the datewheel to be flush with the underside of your dial, it would also cause the datewindow to not exactly match the 7753 datewheel position. If you compare technical drawings of the 7750 and the 7753, you'll see the datewheel is slightly larger (in diameter) in the latter. It is a minute difference, close to 0.5mm if I recall it correctly, but it is enough to make the datewheel obviously off-centered.

A long time ago I purchased an ETA7753 to correct - I expected! - the sunken datewheel on one of my Montblanc Timewalkers. I ended up with a non-sunken, off-centered datewheel; I could see the copperish teeth of the datewheel and missed a small part of the last digit of the date! I then reinstalled the chinese, stock, modified A7750 movement and came up with a laborious, artisanal modification to raise its datewheel. I have since employed this modification on several of my watches, with a varying degree of success.

AstroAvia very interesting!!
i very very much appreciate you input and feedback! I wish I had your know how!
you know, one thing I noticed with this watch when it came out and had the flush date wheel is that it just looked bigger.. the window, the font size and all..
id be really interested to measure it from the first couple bathes to the current batches!
