Agree about the Grahams... I'm not too crazy about the Super Avenger, either. It's ok, but 49mm is just too huge.

Talking about amazing new reps...

My next rep: Ebel Discovery 1911 Chronograph, Panda dial.

Amazingly accurate and beautiful, with double AR... modern and classic at the same time... the white dial & black subdial combo looks amazing. if only Daytona looked as good as this...

I wouldn't have:
- a full gold anything;
- any rep over $400 USD (and it better make sandwiches at that price - probably $50 to produce)
- any rep of a gen under $3k (why bother with a rep)
- anything not greater than 40mm (Rolex Oyster looks like I taped a quarter on my arm)
- any faux chrono or rep that does not work as gen
- any rep that is discernably different from gen 3 feet away

I echo the sentiments that have gone before, including Graham, U Boat, B&R; I'm adding HBB. I simply don't like it and think it looks like a clown watch. My supervisor occasionally wears his gen RG and ceramic, and this exposure has only deepened my resolve. To each their own, it's just not my bag... :)

all that matters is that you are happy with the watches you buy.

I was surprised that Graham is mentioned the most time on this thread  Keep it going!

It's true... I think it's only for 8" or larger wrist size. Furthermore, I have a little bit of the problem with the crown lever. It's just poorly designed (looks like a petrol tanking station).

Any Graham. I just can't bring myself to do it. Maybe for a review someday.

I owned one...it was awful. I felt like I was walking around naked with an orange hat on...that's how conspicuous it was.
So I take it you have tried this?

I actually like the Graham

I get more (good) comments on this than almost any other watch I own(My B&R 46mm is a close second though).

I'd never bother with a Gold or two tone Rolex though, everyone assumes they're fake, even when they're not :D

I think part of the problem with the Grahams is that they were a bit of a 'Grail Watch' (I remember when you could get Grahams for tuppence etc etc) so many people have been desperate to actually get one for so long and then, as soon as they see them in the flesh, 'BLEUGH' :p

Well just for the sake of posting.... :D

1. NO Graham's. They are an abomination to watches, why they ever spent the cnc time on them is beyond me.

2. No B&R's. Too blocky

3. No HBB's for the same reason as number 1. These are some of the ugliest watches I have ever seen.

4. NO rep over $200. Come on, I see a lot of "No watch over $400". If it took them more than $100 to produce one of these watches, then I am Donald Trump. And to those of you who may say, well they deserve a mark-up... think on this: The average College Graduate in China makes only $200 a month.

He Donald,

maybe you find the HBB's ugly because you can't sell any straps to the HBB owners :)
What is ugly on this watch?

I hope that comment was meant in jest, because I can't make straps for a variety of watches that I do find attractive. I am not jsut a strap maker, I am first and foremost a watch collector and enthusiast. The HBB's IMO are hideous pieces of non historical, fashion hyped, crap.
