Received Legal letter from Rolex Law Firm Certified Mail

I had 3 cheap Rolexes confiscated from me a few months ago when I placed an order on DHgate. Didn’t think too much about it. Got a refund from my credit card company and all is well. Until I received this letter:

That’s a cease and desist letter
The kind of passive aggressive letter that lawyers send when they don’t have solid ground to sue

You will see usage of conditional verb, unidirectional statements and « we will hold you reponsible » plus the usual quote of the law

If there is another customs seizure and information of counsel, then they will establish a pattern that can hold

Otherwise I would lay low for at least a while, as others have suggested. Don't give them another reason to take an interest in you.

As someone from the land of laws, I’ll ignore this unless I’m served a subpoena from the court.

Here’s the thing: in the EU, movie studios often send out legal letters to people who torrent films, demanding fines ranging from €1,000 to €2,000. And guess what? I know a former client who’s been ignoring those penalty letters for 15 years — and absolutely nothing has happened.

Now, I’m not saying it’s legal to buy replicas or to brush off their legal actions entirely. What I am saying is that these matters are typically civil actions, meaning enforcement is up to the companies themselves — not law enforcement — unless you’re caught smuggling replicas in your suitcase at the airport.

You did not order anything, roght? Mist have been those damn kids from the neighbor. Just dont react to this letter. You will get another one, more threatening kind of writing.

Just dont react. Dont pay. Dont nothibg.
Interesting that i had 2 times Rolex watches seized, but never la letter from the lawyers.
