Why do so many watches use the 7750 movement if it’s so bad. Is there a better choice?

because it's the most common chrono movement out there. if you want a working chrono without breaking the bank the 7750 is pretty much the only choice.

The better choice is a real 7750. However, there’s lots of issues with that. Most of those reps can’t take a real 7750 just dropped in. A ton of these have some custom / sketchy changes to the 7750 to support the watches configuration.

My ZF 3777-01 broke on reset bec I play with the chronograph too often...

Yep. Can’t even touch the chrono on any of the ZF ones or it will break. Also, if you reset it without stopping you’ll probably break it too.

Absolutely garbage movement.

Clean watches use vr3235 which are basically decorated vr3135s (no real power reserve boost) Dandong 3135 and 3235 are only used in vsf watches as per my knowledge
