Racing Games

I have 2 reasons for posting this

1.) I dont have time to do a company today

2.) I like driving games...


What is your favourite racing video game?

or what you anticipate your favourite to be

Mine is Test Drive Unlimited

and I anticipate my next favourite to be Test Drive Unlimited 2

Test Drive Unlimited would be my favorite game if I had a PC that could run it smoothly...

I need to get to myself a gaming desktop PC just to be able to play nice games again, while that, I have fun playing in MBWR (Mercedes-Benz World Racing)....and the oldschool NFS games.
I used (still do, but not for games) to do 3D cars for games like NFS, and had some friends that converted for MBWR....Here is one of the cars that I made:

Chevrolet Astra GSi - 2005 (from Brazilian Chevrolet) in WR2 game...

....and in NFS 6 - [Hot Pursuit 2]

I feel sorry for people who have low performance, I can play TDU on full settings, but thats just my graphics card, I am short 1gb of ram for TDU2

the oldschool NFS were the best... I have the collectors edition for carbon for my PC, cost me double than the normal edition

Used to be a fan of the PS GRanturismo, played it till wee hours when i was single.

Now it's NFS Carbon and Forza (xbox) for me.

Powerslide is my favourite followed by the CMC Rally series.

rFactor is very good... all those mods are awesome... but I was under the impression that you can't play it without a steering wheel/analog control. I'm not geek enough to bolt one onto my office table.

NFS Porsche was one of my favorites. I need to put together an old PC so I can play it again. It was great fun online with a wonderful community.

I don't have time to race much anymore, but games I currently have are Live for Speed, rFactor, GT Legends, and GTR. The setup I run most is the rFactor Panoz GTS at Road Atlanta.

A wheel and pedals add a lot to the immersion, but most those sims can be played with a properly setup joystick or gamepad.

I have a steering wheel and pedals for that old PC...and I play around with the manual too, driving a Porsche GT-1 (first series) at either Sebring or Road Atlanta...

I got it from a friend, it has formula racing in it, but it also has offroad, touring car, and vintage grand prix

I'm a car guy. Watches were supposed to be a smart move into a safe haven and wiser investment from my car passion (ha ha.). Boosted petrol motors, traded for little mechanical motors of equally fascinating detail. Neither have ever matched my budget. I need to become fascinated with popsickle stick log cabin modeling, quickly.

I'm an IT guy by trade. Out of sheer respect, I bought Forza3, even though I had an unbanned, modded, 360. I got banned about a month later. So no screenshots of some of my cars, but that is what I play.

I'll leave you with one or two from Forza 2.

Old School.. Gran Turismo4 on the PS2..

A valiant FWD.

But give me AWD any day.

Only with the papers signed as an in-house driver for Saleen would I do this if I owned one.

Dated but this car is more of an evolution than any mitsubishi.
