Hello to everyone, I saw those R8 updated with super clone movement and 12,5mm thickness

Are cloned tourbillion movements even reliable given the complexity and delicate nature of the complication?

Based on those pics I would not call it a superclone to be honest, but looks good

the watch is beautiful, if the problem before was its thickness... now it's not anymore

Is the RWI community consensus — or that of a matchmaker — that the movement is reasonably good enough? With a good after market dial and a solid movement, this would be a killer build

The stock non tapisserie grey dial is very gen like and I'm very satisfied with it. Although the rep is thicker by 2 mm than the gen and the movement is not a clone, still this rep is a marvelous watch.

I am actually quite interested to know why people bother about gen dial for this model.

The tourbillion is a straight give-away not mentioning the movement. The thicker case is another. I actually like the design and if I would buy one, would just wear the stock for the fun and novelty.

Whatever gen parts added to whatever rep watch serve the same purpose: to make the owner feel better about the watch in his own way. Others may not always share the same opinion each watch is worn to please the owner and nobody else.

Even if not a clone, if it’s reliable, it’s probably good enough for many (including me). What build exactly do you have? Did you have a modder do anything to it?

Not exactly a build but the hand base was trimmed a bit, the tourbillon mechanism was cleaned and some parts of it were polished and the usual @legend's care for the case and the bracelet as well.

If you are into APRO and tourby watches then this model is a must have imho.
