Hi everyone,

I am interested in getting my first PAM Rep. My choice is between the PAM 111 or 1033.

I see there are 3 versions of PAM 111 on Chazing time.

1) Noob with Asian Unitas
2) Noob with Swiss ETA
3) VSF with Asian Unitas

Any major difference with the movements? And which is a better choice? They all look the same.

If not 1033 looks great too.

My wrist is about 7.5 inches or 19cm. From the photos, 1033 looks like a big watch.

I do have a Planet Ocean XL which wears OK. I think it is 45cm.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello.

The watches are very different, and of course, first of all, 111 is a manual wind, and 1033 is automatic, and this is a serious operational difference, besides the date and the difference in design.

They are of the same diameter, but have different cases, however, the thickness is approximately the same. The feel on your wrist depends on what you are used to and its shape. Most probably fit the 1950 case more conveniently, but I have a better bettarini case on it.
I think the choice between the two should come from operational and aesthetic considerations, and only you can do that.

Regarding the pam111 version, I'm not sure if the Swiss movt. Is actually available for purchase right now, but I'm sure it doesn't make a lot of sense.

When choosing between XF and NOOB, you should read the threads associated with those releases and make a decision. It is right. Personally, I would prefer NOOB.

(111XF=111VSF)

From the links below, you can understand the pros and cons of each model, and see live photos of the participants.

Thanks for the tips KOT, I think I have narrow down to 111, 005 or maybe even 390.

I check on
Geektime PAM111 Noob V11 $398,
Puretime PAM111 Noob V12 $258,
Jtime PAM111 Noob V5 $288,
Trustytime PAM111 Noob V12 $268
Intime PAM111 Noob V11 $258

The prices are all over. I am not really understanding the prices. Is V11 better than V12? And the V11 on 2 different sites have different prices. Is it the same watch?

All TDs may have slightly different prices, this is normal.
Why at geektime it costs almost $ 400 is a mystery to me, it's expensive, and this dealer is not a TD on RWI.
In order to answer the question whether this is one watch, you need to read the description and compare the photos.
If 2-3 TDs indicate that this is NOOB V11, then most likely it is.
In order to understand how all these versions differed, and what is better and what is worse, you need to read the latest discussion topics of pam111 using the search.
This is an old model that has been produced for many years, and has a huge variety of versions and factories over the time, which sometimes got better, sometimes worse, sometimes different.
Take a look at qc in the relevant thread and see what what is being sold today looks like and decide if you like it or not.
The only thing to watch out for is the micrometer screw in movt., They may sometimes be missing from the factory.

As for the 390, it is a different watch in design, beautiful, although there are many questions about the current version of the noob. You can read more about this in the discussion thread of this model, and I also reviewed and compared it with older versions.

005 is also a good choice. Personally, I read 005 over 111, but this is a matter of personal preference.

I did some more research. Does anyone know why most of the Rep stores in China are selling at higher prices? They are selling PAM 111, 005 at around rmb2500 which is about USD350? Whereas the listed dealers here are selling about USD250? I am just curious as I know there are many pricing levels. Is it a higher-grade rep?

TDs became one on the forum because they offer a fair price, and what you buy will match what you get in the package.

I am sure that HW pam for $ 250 can be found on the Internet for 500, 1000, or even 5000 with the statement that it is gen.
If something is cheaper than TD, then you should think about whether it will be cheating or just cheap.
