Question on "Durability" of GMT II Transformer Bezel

Hello All,

Like a child on Christmas Eve, I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my new GMT II "Transformer" from the watch gentleman and modification scholar BK. :D

In anticipation of the day that I will start wearing this little gem, I have a question. Can anyone advise me, based on their experience, how 'rugged' or 'durable' they have found the snap-on Transformer bezel to be?

For example, on an activity scale of 1 to 10, with "1" being "sitting in a rocking chair while whittling with one's grandfather" and "10" being "jumping over 24 school buses on a motorcycle," how much movement will it take to pop the dang bezel off?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bump because I'd like to know, too. I have one and have thought about this.

I'll not be jumping burning busses, but I might have to defend my wife's honor and don't want to worry about my bezel flying off as I pound someone's head with my SlyTech I carry for self defense. :D

I find them amusing too. If you're jumping school buses on a motorcycle while wearing it then we want a wristshot of that :D

ive always wondered this also. If you can pop the bezel off by hand to swap them out.... why wouldnt the bezel just fall off by itself when you bang the watch into something? On your scale i would guess the durability to be a 5 on your scale.

im really trying to think of a funny analagie for level 5 but i cant think of anything right now :)

...´Cause this subject is relevant to my...ehrr..I mean our interests.
I guess some or many of you guys that have ordered the perfect BK-transformer, have had some time to feel the watch now, and to find out how solid the bezel is... So, if any of you could chime in and post your impressions about how hard it is to really pop-up the bezel with your fingers, and the probability of it just falling off the watch on some accidental hit on a door frame...

Does it "click" to remove, or just gets off smoothly and easy? I bet there are more people wondering that than just me...
Post your opinions, lucky owners!

Cheers,
Spirit.

I've had mine for a month or so now. Once, at the office, the bezel got caught on my shirt sleeve, popped off, and fell on the floor. After that I noticed a piece of the thin steel that holds the bezel in place sticking out. I put it back and it's stayed put, so far, but I'm leery about where I wear the watch now.

I would be careful wearing the watch in environments where it might get caught on something, such as clothing.

Other than that, I love it.

Edit to add: I was wearing French cuffs at the time so the sleeve was extra thick. It makes a difference.
