Do you guys wear your watch on your right hand? It seems like a silly question but I was curious. I am left handed and wear it on my right hand. I wanted to know how everyone else wore theirs.

left hand right ankle.

Worthless without pics.

I use to wear my watch on the right all the time until a 4th of July accident which burned my right wrist. So I had to switch and have been wearing watches on the left ever since. After years, I tried to switch back the other day, but it just felt too strange. Funny thing is I would rather wear on the right b/c the crown doesn't rub up on the back of my hand.

Ah the age old question that's been asked in a thousand threads. The winder is on the right side for a reason. :p

I'm the same as you. I am left-handed and wear my watch on my right. Wearing it on my dominant hand I tended to bang it into things and when I put my hand down to write the metal parts of the band got scuffed against hard writing surfaces.

Ya me too..I hate it when the crown on certain watches put a dent in when you bend the hand. And the crown guard on some will dig into the left hand..I won't mention the brand name. :D

Yes but it is still easier (on some brands) to take the watch off the wrist to adjust date/time, so it becomes a moot point. :)

Man it's already enough of a pain dealing with it everytime I pick the damn thing up. if I have to adjust the date and time on my watch during the course of the day that bitch is going in the trash.

Leftie here, but I wear my watches on my left arm.

...I must admit that the Crown sometimes is a pain in the wrist, specially on sport/bigger watches...and it leaves a mark on my wrist because of that.
Although there are reasons for the side of the pushers/crown, I always have to take the watch off when setting anything on it, so it would be more a matter of being used to the different wrist - thing that I think will never get used to.

Wore my watch on the right arm once, when I hurt my left one while racing a go-kart, and it was just too much strange to wear on the right arm.

Cheers,
Spirit.

Left handed here too and always wear it on my right arm. Again don't seem to knock it as much as my dominant left hand.

lefty and wear on my left arm. Tried wearing on my right arm but my handwriting became all screwed up because of the lighter weight.

You have to take all jewelry off your hands and wrists because you don't want to scuff up any important parts?

Oris, U-Boat and Panerai (among others) offer watches with crowns/pushers at 9, handy for lefties

funny topic.

strictly speaking, i'm ambidextrous. but to me, it feels more like i just can't make up my mind: i write right, throw left, switch hit (yeah, i know i just opened myself up w/ that one), tennis left, golf right, etc. this even carries thru in watch-wearing. i wear them right or left depending upon which that specific watch's bracelet or strap feels better on (my right wrist is just slightly larger than my left n, as you all know, link width n hole spacing are often different on each model). though i do wear on my right any watch that has some inordinately large crown. seriously, i don't know how any of you could wear a BP on yr left w/ that airport control-tower against your hand. n as fr those graham chronofighters (a watch i just don't get, no offense), aside from the fact that it looks like there's a butane lighter attached to the side, i would think any right-hand wearers would be in constant danger of severing blood vessels...

as for functionality, i've never understood. it seems equally easy to push the chrono's from either side. as for the crown, i only ever wind or adjust the time/date before i put it on; after that, why would you ever need to use it? just curious...

Amen to that... If I have to adjust the time or date, more than once every week the watch is not worth keeping.
