"this is mine!"

"I'm all over this, SOLD"

In my sales, there are times when I don't reply to all PMs. I'm not being a jerk, it's just that the system only allows 1 pm per minute, so I just post an update in the thread that answers all questions at once.

Also, there are a ton of people with 0 sales reviews that wasted my time and promised payments. Once you get a few reviews, you won't be ignored as much.

Same as saying experience required but no one will give me a job so how do I get experience.

I don't disagree with what you are doing and I am glad that two members here have sold watches to me this far with no reviews, same as ebay or anything else, I won't buy from anyone who does not a decent amount of feedback.

As far as the PM sent thing goes, I have done it but only because it seemed to be the norm, I think it is kinda stupid as a few people have mentioned you get notified of a PM as soon as it is sent just about.

I do like the "back of, it's MINE .......... my precious."

I have to say that I have never had an issue with a buyer, at least two of which were new to reps and to the forum.

I say this because even though they were unknown to me, I sold to them for various reasons.

I dont know about you guys, but I can pretty much tell in like oh ONE PM if the noob has a grasp on this deal or not. I am PRO noob selling for the obvious reasons of they need experiance and so forth. If it screams at me....NO CLUE....EPIC ASSWHIP ahead...I am out. So, get a clue and you got a deal.

I had a guy buy a chronograph from me and ask why the center seconds hand didn't move along with the minutes and hours. Not sure what to expect, I explained it to him and he thanked me.

We were all there. (Hell, I am STILL there!)

Bottom line is that if the noob is reasonable, why not sell them a watch and post feedback?

Being new at anything sucks. But here, and the other forums, time and participation breed trust. Post some new threads, comment in others, upgrade to VIP. In time, respect will come -- it isn't just given when it comes to transactions...

The sell picks the buyer, it is not first come first served. The seller has the right
to ignore your pm, ignore your offer, and sell to someone else. It's not ethical.
I would be up front with you and communicate the whole time, but you know some
people are assholes.

Saying "pm sent" means nothing. PM'ing someone with "I'll take it" means nothing.
It should in a moral world, but this is not that.

+1000. Hit the nail on the head. I try to respond to ALL offers and be straight with them. It's how I'd like to be treated as a buyer. The old advice of "Do unto others" sometimes just doesn't happen. Sorry for your loss.

I agree 100% Dave. Common courtesy goes a long way.

I haven't bought a watch M2M on this forum yet.

As a noob, I'd fully expect a seller to sell to me only as a last resort, after all, if the seller has dealt with someone before or knows their reputation, he'd be a fool not to. Life has enough hassles without looking for more.

With regards to civility and courtesy, it's true that they cost nothing, but when people afford me them I'm pleasantly surprised.

You know what normally works for me... In a PM say "I'll take it, you'll have money in your PP account 2 min after you send me your PP email"

oh crap.. my secret is out.

Which is exactly what a buyer should do when they really want to buy a wacth. But instead we get all these guys who say PM sent and then expect the watch is theirs just because they posted that.
