Gen looks bolder, but unless they're next to each other under a magnifying glass, who would know!!??

Sorry but I disagree. That's clearly something that I would notice easily, not like stuff like rehaut engravings or crown guards for example.

It's perfectly fine if that's not something that you care about, but it is rather visible. That's actually the first thing that I noticed when I saw the QF pics, even on my phone without magnification, and I don't have bionic eyes ;)

Well.. watch is in. After 4+ years and dozens of reps purchased, this is my first "dead on arrival" experience.

No amount of winding, swirling, tapping will get the watch running. Opened the case back, nothing blatantly loose, but I do not see movement - I also have no idea what I'm looking for :D

Shame. Any suggestions before I toss it up for sale as defunct?

It's likely something simple if you saw evidence in QC that it was running. A servicing should fix it, which is cheaper than a new movement. My first action in cases like this is to clean and demagnetize the balance assembly. Loose debris, hair, oil or stuck coils can completely halt a movement. Removing a balance, dipping it in One Dip and replacing it has brought a movement back to life for me a few times. If that isn't something you can do yourself, it can be suggested to someone as a preliminary effort before a complete servicing.

Also examine the cap jewel on the balance. Those can get dislodged from center and block the balance staff from moving freely.

Sorry to hear about it, I have a DD recently received in the same condition that I haven't gotten around to yet.

can you send a picture of the movement? ofc its just 1% chance that we may understand the problem from that picture but give it a try

It looks like the NOOB with a2824 movement. Same bezel, with too fine numbers and a very similar dial. Overall Clean is winning

I think I found what is amiss, finally got to opening the case and taking a closer look. There are two little screws/pieces that seem to hold together this large place that are missing. I'm assuming they came loose and fell into the movement and that's why it's stuck. The large plate will spin but it's held together by only one screw to it also seems to get stuck.

I don't have the tools to pull everything apart and rebuild so up for sale it goes.. appreciate everyone's help on this.
