I’m going to recommend that all members stay away from Pure Time, here’s the way I was treated and all the steps I’ve gone through………

In a “last ditch†effort I’m posting this complaint in hopes of receiving what I paid for……finally. I have been through two “Admin assisted processesâ€. One at RWI and one with Repgeeks. Neither one of them has produced what I’m owed so here’s my beef.

Remember now, I’m not jumping the gun here. This transaction took place back in February and still isn’t straight.

Here's the scenario, Pure Time, "McQueen" Vintage Explorer.....

Feb 11 - Ordered
Feb 18 - QC Pic received, one only, watch was on timing machine and picture was fuzzy. Being a Noob I authorized shipment because I didn’t want to be “hard to deal withâ€.
Feb 21 - Received watch and datewheel was HORRIBLE and I do mean HORRIBLE!
Feb 24 - Nikki suggested I have it fixed locally, NOT going to happen, didn't buy a watch to fix!
Feb 25 - Returned Watch
March 12 - Inquired about repair
March 16 - Inquired about repair
March 17 - Tracking number promised within one week
March 24 - Inquired about watch
March 26 - Inquired about watch
March 29 - Inquired about watch
April 1 - Opened support ticket at RWI
April 3 – Now it’s Angus, said he'd get back to me in a couple of days
April 7 - Angus states another problem with watch was found, another 2 ~ 3 days
April 12th - Angus now states problem with cyclops, will replace crystal
April 23 - Requested order be change to Double Red Sea Dweller (same price) since Explorer was such a problem, denied
April 25 - Agnus promises reply within 24 hours
April 25th ~ May 5th, NOTHING from Angus.

May 5th – Contacted RepGeeks Admin, they contacted Angus. Angus emailed me stating he’d take care of it and ship either “Today or tomorrowâ€.
Since then NOTHING from Angus.

I’ve bought three other reps since I bought this one. They are in my possession and in rotation. All three were from different dealers (Watch International, Trusty Time, BK) and I’m happy as hell with each and every one of them.

Right now I wouldn’t give Pure Time a nickel for a rep!

Sorry to hear about your issue, from this post it seems like you did all by the book. I hope it gets sorted out soon.

yea the post does seem to indicate the guy has done it all the right way.
probably best to hope for a refund and call it a clean slate

This is totally unacceptable and I can't say you've been impatient. You've done everything the way it should've been done but the same thing cannot be said about Angus. I as well would've been pissed if I were you. FFS it's been 3 months and you don't have anything to show for your money's worth. I feel for you brother. Fingers crossed this gets solved. I have total trust in our admin team and I'm sure they'll solve this one for you mate. You'll either get the watch or your money back, be sure of that!

The law is with your side my friend... Done everything correct, so as Q says you hould get your money or a proper watch back. In these cases we see why the dealers are supposed to be trused... Keep us up to date!

I had similar problem that took a while to sort out with this seller. I will say in the end Angus did sort it. I hope you have the same out come.

I sure like this place better than RepGeeks. After the admin here told me to post a negative review I went through an Admin at RG (since Pure is trusted there as well) just to see if I could get this situation taken care of without going negative.

Today the Admin there (user name J-C) told me to "take it back to where you started" meaning RWI. He went on to state that I had nothing to contribute there and all my posts had been negative about the dealer. NOT TRUE. 35 posts (noob) and nothing negative until now. Then he locked the thread where I posted my story.

What a douche!

You've shown a commendable amount of patience and most definitely deserve your watch (or a refund). Usually I'm a little skeptical about such threads but you've done exactly as you're supposed to and haven't been dealt with fairly.

Angus has definitely lost a couple of potential customers by doing business this way.

Best of luck and I hope the situation resolves itself.

That's not very nice of them now is it!

Stick with us at RWI, we tend to be a friendlier lot and the admin are top notch.

Hope you get this resolved asap! - personally after this much time and hassle, I'd just demand a refund and go elsewhere. It also reinforces my opinion on PT - I wouldn't use them again.

Just can support your oppinion regarding Puretime. Have had the same issues with them. Endless discussions with Nikki regarding a not delivered, but payd caseback for a Breitling.

Till I ended the discussion some weeks ago. Not worth my time.

For the future I´ll go elsewhere. Never again. Pure (waste of ) Time

Sorry to hear this. This is a bad-to-worst-case senerio for sure. Good luck with your efforts. I'm sure they will make good on this with the heat turned up with this thread. The time it took is unexceptable and is excacty what we fear the most.

Sorry to hear that, I am a registered user there, but spend 99.99999% of my time here and throw RWI some money every once in a while (VIP) :whistle:

Yeah I had a week old thread there about this experience. Hadn't named the dealer yet and was asking advice about getting an Admin on the case.

The Admin "J-C" contacted me and Angus did get back to me that day with an email, but since then nothing. Today J-C went form zero to asshole in no time. He couldn't "solve" the problem so suddenly I WAS the problem.

In the original thread where I hadn't named the dealer I posted the whole scenario and named Pure TIme. In the thread J-C was playing the hero how he had solved the problem in one day, I was ready to "jump the gun" and he saved the day...etc, etc, etc....

Everyone was singing his praises. So today I posted....not so fast.....not resolved yet......here's my case.....

What does J-C do? Bans me and "clears" my threads. I'm assuming the "clears" part, have to sneak back in later.

I'd advise all to "steer clear" of the Geek Forum. Where should I post this experience here so others will know that place isn't exactly "fair and balanced"?

wow, i hear some bad accusations about rg from a noob, i suggest you to stay cool, surely you had a bad experience with puretime but you are pushing too far my friend

From what you've documented, this sounds like a load of crap. WTF is a dealer going through so much time trying to fix a rep when they should have replaced it with another. Then to get into another fix????????

The other thing that pisses me off about this is what you've said about RG. First, it doesn't surprise me in the least. Here you get a warning, pubic scolding, maybe a time out if you're a real jerk :p, banned if it's obvious there's no hope for you.

I imagine PureTime will chime in here before long. All I can say is that I'm very disappointed to hear this about a trusted, active, and contributing dealer...
