Problem w/ my AP ROO SS Strap

so after a month of waiting for my 1st AP ROO to arrive, its finally here. I removed 4 links from the bracelet. I can barely squeeze my hand through the opening with the clasp fully opened. But when i close the clasp after the ROO is on my wrist, it is still about 1 link too long. The watch dangles on my wrist and falls all over the place. I tried removing one more link. i couldn't even squeeze my hand through the bracelet no matter how hard i tried. I left it for now with only 4 links removed but it is uncomfortable to wear because the watch is not sitting properly on my wrist.

Any suggestions? i know the most obvious answer is probably get a leather or rubber strap but i want the Stainless bracelet.

ap has double clasp bracelet which is very hard to open. there is 3 things to open. the first is ap metal piece with 2 buttons. this will lift up, then you have to pull it very hard and open that part. then open second part.

dosent make sense to be more room with closed than with open..

+1 what you are saying is that he did not open the bracelet correctly.
If that is not the case, he must reshape his hand. A butcher can do this.

Help! How Do I Remove a leather strap from an AP Diver?

Hi, AP Gang!

I need your help: I recently purchased a white faced AP Diver with a horrible strap and wanted to remove it I could replace it with a nicer strap. Problem is: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS STRAP AND ITS REMOVAL.

I've worked for over a half hour trying to remove the damaged strap bu unscrewing the screws at each end of the lugs. Problem is, when I did that, only small (length) screws came off, but the two s/s links attaching the strap didn't. There appeared to be tiny screws inside the opening & one did turn, but nothing happened. Result? I can't remove the strap and can't remove the two links that hold the strap to the case. I've enclosed several pics of what I've done first. ANY help you can provide will be greatly -- and deeply -- expressed. (Wifey doen't like some of the language I've been using during this project.)

There should be a small rod that is threaded still inside the strap.. Thats what the two little nuts screw onto. Can you get a very small flat head screwdriver and try and push it through?

this is the problem with rep bracelet. most bracelet are super comfortable, more comfortable than strap. but only my blacktheme with bracelet is not comfortable.

bbphrog, the strap is attached to the conversion links using a bar-cap set. You unscrewed the cap, which came out. Now use a needle or small screwdriver to push the rod out via the hole where the cap was. If you look into that hole with a light, you will see the tip of the rod. Once you push the rod out, the links will separate from the strap.
