Hey guys,

Sorry if this is not the right spot for this, but I'm still fairly new in the rep game.

I recently got the 3k Aquanaut and was astonished by the quality! It's really a beauty in and of itself. Take away the Patek branding and it could still easily be a 5k+ watch.

One thing that bothers me though is that after a full wind the second hand started to move less smooth.

It's only sporadic though, from 2-5 o'clock it's running as smooth as it should and you really see that it's a 28800 bpm watch.

From 6-12 o'clock it's really awkward and almost looks like a quartz watch. The stuttering is really what prevents me from wearing it 24/7.

Have any of you encountered similar issues? How did you get it fixed?

Can one do that alone or do you need a watchsmith for that? What would be the cost round about?

If you need a watchsmith can someone point me to a thread where I can find rep watchsmiths from Germany/Europe?

Really appreciate any input!

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Cheers, Monk

I already heard another member with this complaint but he could fix it. I’ll search on my messages

The problem is common in movements with remote seconds.

The 324 is derived from the 315 Both have remote seconds as they were originally designed as movements with sub seconds at 6 .
The slightly jerky seconds is more prevalent when the watch is in certain positions.

This problem has already been pointed out by another member.

The problem is also common in the gen 324 movement. Don't here about it very much in the gen world as they are usually a lot less fussy and often a lot less knowledgeable

Edit ; Now I remember it was @bill33 who first mentioned this. He is very knowledgeable and I remember he improved it by adjusting the tension spring. Maybe PM him
