I like the POS (lol), the retro baton dial, the white bezel and pushers/crown. If they do it right, I am getting it. Problem is, I think they will not get the bezel matte enough.

The matte white of the bezel must match the matte white of the pushers/crown. If they can pull that off, I will have to try this.

+1.. love that dial and if the Bezel is done to a decent standard, then I'll be adding that to the collection.

I just hope they don't mess up the date window cutting into the rehaut again.. this bugs me the most on these rep APs and i haven't bought one single AP chrono sec@12 because of it. However, I am currently drooling over the AP grand prix edition because the date window is properly positioned!

What do you mean? All the 42mm roo's have incorrect date position, but I haven't seen any that are cut into the tach on the JFAC or NOOB versions

It's not properly position but looks that way due to the bigger case. Just like all 44mms

If they ever clone the movement, then they'll be able to address the DW position, until then, you'll need to go Gen/Franken..

Certainly an acquired taste. Sort of watch you wear round the pool, on holiday, or if you live in a hot place, at the tennis club etc.
cant be your only AP - has to be in a fleet comprising every-dayer, dress watch, sports, big occasion watch, FU watch etc....
