Hi fellas

I think there is a bit of art in wrist shots. It involveds positioning of the camera, steady hands if you are carrying the camera or phone with the other hand, shirt/suit/wrist/watch suitablility, maybe background, artistic flair and of course the usuals of taking a good photo.

So I'm curious what do you consider to be your best wrist shot so far?
WRISTS must be involved.

I think this one is the best wristie so far for me.

Yes, I think it is tougher to get a good pic of a watch on the wrist especially if you are holding the camera on the other hand. Would love to see what some of the experts can come up with. I'll dig around and see if I can find something half decent. Yours is pretty nice.

Here is my feeble attempt. Sure wish I can have CB's background attractions but .... oh well.

It's difficult to make a wrist shot interesting because you only really see the watch and some wirst so the background is almost irrelevant.

The key is to have as much light as possible and a fast shutter speed to minimise blurring from either camera shake or the wrist shaking. Here is one of my AP Diver - not necessarily my best but it shows the dial clearly without reflections, plus a bit of strap, which I like to do.

The most difficult wrist shot is one where you are trying to show the lume. A tripod for the camera is essential but that doesn't stop the wrist shaking! In this case you need to rest your arm on a solid surface - like I have in this pic of my superlumed Skyland v3. ;)

The best two pictures I have were taken about a minute apart. I was using my wife's inexpensive pocket camera (the only one we own, and it's pink!). I was on our porch and somehow I got a couple good shots. I am in awe at some of the pictures that other members post here. I just take a lot of pictures and hope I get lucky. :)

I really don't have anything good on the wrist.

Sigh. I guess this is it, but it's just an Instagram iPhone pic:

That's a great wrist shot mate. It really takes me out there, become not so much all about the watch, more about overall context.
I really want to put on a glove and hit the snow too
