thx for your trouble tmp2018. the dial looks amazing but I'm sure you are disappointed with the photo results. The dial does not let herself capture in a photo.

wear her in good health pal Cheers :)

Beyond the Pines.
I got a bit obsessive on the comparison. I think there may be a slight improvement to the 'fat bezel' issue. Heres how it lines up in photoshop... (did my best to ensure scale was correct..)

I'm afraid this is wishful thinking my friend. If instead of looking ath the size of the brushed part of the bezel you compare the size of the reclined poloshed part of the bezels, you can see that the PPF's polished part is smaller, which is due to a wrong machining angle, leading to the brushed part being to wide and the polished too narrow...

Great to hear, looking forward to your pics :) WRT the ball bearings and the pins that hold the clasp, I would advise to get them glued as a safety measure, believe me it's very frustrating when you lose them...

Any recommendations on how to glue the ball bearings and pins? I just received my 5711 and would like to make sure I don't lose them. I'm guessing the answer is to take it to a watch specialist but will that be a normal request or will I need to explain in more detail what the problem is?

I went to my watchsmith and showed him what I wanted. He used super glue but I think other members here used epoxy (check that it's transparent and not coloured). Basically there's 2 things I recommend:

1/ put some glue just around each ball, at the junction with the link. Proceed with caution as the the ball does not really sit on the link but on a spring that allows the ball to retract within the link under pressure. So you want to make sure that you don't put too much glue otherwise you will cover the junction between the spring's head and the link itself. Not a disaster but better to prevent

2/ remove the pins that hold the part of the clasp with the logo, and glue them back into the link. That will prevent them from falling off, as it's also happens to me

Good luck

I hope it stays like this and they don't go away in a couple more weeks. It doesn't cost much to consolidate the balls and pins so I'd advise to do in just in case but it's your choice

i have to admit, that i checked this part immediately after receiving it and it felt a little bit sticky. my thought was: maybe td or ppf "fixed" it with some tiny bit of extra glue, after many ppl reported this failure...
