So I’m trying to resize my PPF 5712 bracelet, looks a similar system to the 5711, pin and sleeve, used a pin pusher tool to take them out, kept the pin together with the link, but it doesn’t matter what I try, the pin goes into the link, checked that the sleeve is in the centre part of the link, give it a wiggle and it works it way out of the other side.

Anyone got an suggestions other than gluing them.

So you mean the sleeve doesn't hold the pin tight inside the links?

No, don't remember my old 5711 being this difficult, only thing I can think to do is put a slight and I mean slight bend in the pin so it provides a bit of interference.

Any other ideas, solutions gratefully received.

So, just in case anyone else hits this problem.

My pins now stay put, what I did to fix it was to get a pair of jewellers pincers, hold the pin in the jaws exactly in the middle where the rebate/recess is and then hold one end of the pin with a tool, I used an old jewellers screwdriver and put a tiny bend in the pin. Refitted the sleeve in the centre part of the link and lightly tapped the pin through the link and home. Wiggled the bracelet and the pins stay where they're meant to.

English isn't my mother tongue therefore I'm not sure if I fully understood your method. The key point is slightly bending the pin, isn't it? Anyway, thanks a lot.
