The 177L is going to be my first rep (if it ever arrives). I ordered it from Lay as well on the 19th and have only gotten runarounds regarding status. He doesn't reply to my emails, but sometimes I can catch him on his Live Chat. But again, all he tells me is "tomorrow". It's now been 10 days... All I want is an honest status update so I can stop thinking that I got screwed by Lay -> "I got Laid".
Sorry to hear that... I am sure that you will eventually get the watch and when you do, you will be very happy with it. Some experienced pam afficionados are calling it the most accurate titanium pam rep of all time (coming from a gen 177H owner, who also had purchased some LH models over the years). Whether that is accurate or not, I cannot personally say as I have never owned a gen pam, or an LH model, but after reading many comments on several rep blog sites, the consensus among the hard-core pam rep fans is that this 177L is off the charts in terms of value. So, you picked one hell of a good rep for your first purchase.
I unfortunately had a similar experience with Lay on a Rolex Pro Hunter Submariner. Ordered it, no updates forever (and I am the patient, relaxed type so I did not bother him about it). After a month, I finally emailed nicely just saying "hey, just curious about the status". Lay said the watch was no longer available. That information would have been nice to know within the first two weeks of ordering it. If I would not have emailed him to inquire I suspect I would still be waiting for the watch. On the plus side, Lay did a paypal refund to me the same day I requested it, so Lay is very honest. I know many have had great experiences with Lay and perhaps I was just unlucky. But, I have not ordered from him since that experience.
