Ok, here is where you get to vote. An insert changes the look very rapidly. Might even be able to find a ghost insert in the drawer but I think the dial is too fresh for that.

The new one is too "new", the old one is too "old" compared to the dial.

May I ask you to explain one thing, since I've never attempted yet to mod ant watches:
How do you know if the bezel insert you are buying fits?
eBay sellers claim their inserts are "compatible with Rolex" but every bezel is slightly bigger or smaller, so how do you know?
Or you just don't and you sand it down if it's too big?

I have to fit most of them to my bezels. The exception for me has been gen inserts in Clark and phong bezels.

I don't know why but for me these watches Excel with a tan strap. The colors pop so much more!

Comparison pic to gen dial build.

Gen 9021/9411 dials are almost black. Many later service dials I have seen are much brighter blue.

Yes that's my main concern. When you see gen pics, the blue does not pop. It's subtle and because of age(?) It's matte, not glossy.
It makes a huge difference to my eyes.

Look at the blue gen Pelagos and the first reps of it with the bright blue. It is off and it shows quite a bit

You are correct. I just threw this bracelet on.
It came with a folded tudor stamped bracelet that I just have not sized yet due to how hard it is to adjust. And a vintage oyster in transit.
