Yep, the rep crystals never look that good, they have more of a bevel than a dome.

No, it was my first attempt at drilling lugs with my new drill press that I specifically bought to mod cases :huh:

Bummer. Did u get it right eventually?
Always wanna get a drill press, but it's impossible to store it at home in Hong Kong.

After case #2 :) just needed a better drill bit. Sometimes cheap is not the way to go.. with a higher quality bit it went through like butter.

How do u choose your drill bit? There are quite a lot of HSS drill bits on the bay, some are awfully cheap.

Btw, do u think a hand held drill will do the job?

Hand held didn't work for me, nor did a dremel. Not enough torque or stability, just kept breaking bits. For the bit, I bought a cheap pack from amazon and they burned up and snapped within seconds... bought a set from my local ace hardware shop...a little bit more expesive, but I drilled through three cases with the same bit without any trouble, using the same lube.
