That’s just the normal panda lume color. Black when uncharged and green when lume is active in the dark.

AP frankens are nothing like the gen when you scrutinize the details and know what to look for BUT in the wild on the wrist, they are mostly visually as good as the gen. They are a lot harder to call out in real life than on the forums.

What matters mostly is the mentality of the owner. The owner will always know what his watch is and it is up to him to accept it, or seek ways to upgrade it. The AP franken game isn’t for me anymore. I just cannot wear an AP which isn’t really an AP no matter how it looks. Your 3 frankens look amazing and they are very nice watches to wear for the fun of it. They also go beyond the definition of “frankens” in that they are unique iterations of the AP offshores and individualized to your taste.
What better watches are there to wear and own than those?

well, i know what you mean.
But a gen is more valuable for me than every franken i could build. its not about the model itself - its about a timepiece that i can hand to my children and that keeps an emotional and maybe monetary value. The self modded pieces are nice but in the end its still a rep. Funny thing - i take more care of my reps than of my gen, because i definately will trade the reps for gen. i never sell a gen - gens stay forever with me. so its a journey to gather and collect gens and during this period i enjoy myself building what i like.

dont get me wrong - i love those frankens but i always aim at getting a gen at some point and restart the franken game from scratch

Mentally a gen is worth more although i put a lot of effort in these self modded pieces.
