Hey,
I just received mine ! I must say that it's a Nice watch, a really big watch. For me the big est flaw is more the fact that lugs don't rotate like the gen and so you have the strap that opens a bit ! What should be great to do is to improve this rotation....
I'm ont really sure as Boudart that I will give it a lot of wrist time... It will probably go to the trade market quickly !!!

On what I saw, it seems difficult. I have the feeling that the lugs are stopped on the upper part of it with the case. A bit like if they didn't give the right circle line between the lug and the case. It's perhaps possible the remove a bit of material to allow a better rotation, but for me it's a bit risky because it's a part that you can see.

Are you all sure the gen lugs rotate much more?
It seems to me as it the same construction and the gen would have the same problem...

At most a couple of degrees but that combined with a softer gen strap make for a better fit.

I have read an review written in france language, and the reviewer said, that it is not comfortable to wear and that it eats his arm, it was mainly designed tow ear above wetsuit, so I think it is the same with our replica. we will see, I got my QC pics from Mary, and can't wait to receive it :)

You will tell us when you receive it. My biggest question is how to have the strap fit well on the top (there is a gap between the lug and the strap that makes it not feel good !). I will perhaps glue it with a strong glue to reduce the gap but I'm not sure it will stay like that !

I was also wondering about superglue, adn I think MARINE EPOXY will do that job well ! It dries to hard rock solid mass :D

I received my Diver from Toro. I ordered the black, got the gray instead. What a bummer!!! I sent the dealer a PM; still waiting his reply.

The concept is very cool, but the overall build quality of the replica is rather poor. The strap and its faulty plastic endlink ruin the watch IMO. The diver extension clasp is incredibly poor in finish, rough and all burnt with poor welding (tack welding for those who know the trade). The small lug span has already been mentioned, but I believe this can be (easily) corrected/improved with some Dremel action. When fully screwed in, the crown presses hard against the bezel, to the point of completely locking it - so the clever bezel locking mechanism devised by the Porsche Design Co/Eterna would be unnecessary according to the chinese! And you HAVE TO completely screw the crown in, otherwise it won't fit into its place in the case and the watch won't close.

One pro: the hands are gorgeous!!!

Overall, a very nice watch that has been poorly constructed, as if the factory was in a hurry to launch the watch. The watch in the current status is not worth the money, and a v3 with some serious improvement is necessary.

My 0.02.

Hi

I glued it. It fits now better even when you look closely at it you can see a bit the glue between the rubber and the lug. But the result is much better !! I thinck that I'm going to wear it now.

Yup - I want one .... the two dealers i have done business with don't show it on their sites. More research needed

-- Fascinating - just did a search and discovered this model is a rebirthed Eterna KonTiki diving watch.

still want one
