Awesome ! thanks ! I have a brand new set of 16610LV hands that i had sitting in my watch box unused because of a scratch on the minute hand, this may work for me ! :)

No, the leather stick won't remove scratches, it only does a buffing job.

Also, i think this works with other metal polishes also, might more economical than using cape cod cloths.

You could probably also use makeup/sponge applicators instead, especially those with pointed tips. Can find them on amazon or at the drug store. Q-tips will leave annoying fibers and strands behind that can get caught between indices and such.

How did I miss this thread for so long?

This is a major part of the modding puzzle for us amateurs as hand installation is probably where most of us newbies screw up.
