I don't think you need to be an expert to figure this one out.
Obviously, the only way to 100% avoid getting called out is going gen...
It's the bottom one: The less complications, less fancy materials etc., the better, i.e. closest to gen you'll get, as a general rule of thumb. Now, if an AP RO ceramic 18K rose gold Skeleton moonphase Chronograph with triple doom meter and built-in espresso machine happens to be more gen-like than the plain 3-hand, I stand corrected. I'll let the AP experts decide...
