Well i thought id found flat ceramic inserts but it turns out there is a slight taper so no good for our purposes. But i did contact the okokadolo guy in the link and asked about the aluminium and bakelite inserts he does and asked for some pics and gave him the original dimensions Frank_NRW used. Lets see what he sends over.

I ordered two of these Samurai bezels from AliX. They fit! So we need someone to produce a blue one matching the gen.
The one on the photo is aluminium I think, with a layer of epoxy on top. Looks bad, but better than my plastic one. I need a combination of both. Quickly !

I got both. I used the curved one. The flat one is a bit dull, the epoxy of the curved one make it more shiny. There is also an hairline gap between the bezel and the insert. The San Martin I have with an orange bezel is a better fit. I would be tempted to "epoxy" the gap, but then it would become difficult to remove the insert.

The one in your pic looks ok. Id like to see a wristy of your San Martin as im after one of those. I think the bezel on that makes it for me.

Here’s my steeldive with India Facebook guy dial. I just bought another from AliX and will be looking for a cool dial for it.

Amazing, what would a dial like this do to a mans funds?

That looks great! Did you source the dial and if so can you tell me what the dial size is on the San Martin.

That's good to know. I love that San Martin for that bezel insert and the high beat movement and the fact it uses a 32mm dial as I will have a few dials in the next few weeks.

Hi guys. My first watch is done bug I'm far from happy with it so picked up this little beauty.

Bronze and yellow! I’m glad to see I’m not the only crazy Ploprof saboteur. Actually I was toying with the idea of a green dial for the bronze case. Is your yellow dial a bit dull or shiny ? Where did you get the strap ? We need to find a source for good quality bezel inserts.

Apparently the green dial does go well with the Bronze case but wouldn't be my choice. The yellow dial is a matt finish but I plan to change the dial to a black one and I have a gold handset from raffles as I've tried to polish the case as best as I could to get the gold effect as I don't like the natural tarnish. I've also got a Grey dial and Orange insert ready for a standard sd1969. Both dials and bezel insert come from Odokadolo. Here are some pics of the bits I've got from him.

Ah yes, the grey dial with orange bezel is lovely. I’m so happy to have the San Martin version with a good quality orange bezel. The okokadolo is not as nice. I hope he can make better ones in the future.
