Hi guys,

Here's the end of this project.

Finally, i only swap the hour hand with a gen one, do a full relume and a 2xAR on the crystal.
Other gen parts are near impossible to swap even with a big modification.

This is the list of the part you can swap or not with gen :

Direct swap :
- complete case back
- He Valve (i do not try it but i think it's possible)

Swap with light mods :
- Hands. You have to change the tubes.
- Dial if you cut the feets
- Insert.

Swap with mods :
- "Bezel balls", placed in the case under the bezel. You have to tap the holes but i think it can fit (i do not try)
- Orange button (i do not try it but i think it's possible if you tap the stop hole)

Can't swap :
- Movement.
- Crown + crown quard (not the same construction)
- Complete bezel.
- Crystal.

I push that one.
I know it's nearly 4 years old, but there's some good info here and I have the exact same gen parts here for my V2 Ploprof.

@numero2 how did you manage to get the "bezel stopper" out of the case as shown in your last posted pic on page 1?
The genuine one needs to be screwed in/ out, wondering what they did on the rep.
Thanks for your help.

Cheers!

Hi @Mr Seamaster ,
Old project here.
Unfortunately, I never managed to remove the bezel stopper from the case. The photo on the first page is of the Gen case.
In fact, it's not that I didn't succeed, but rather that I didn't want to.
The fixing system is not the same on the REP, and it is not designed to be dismantled. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to put it back on if the GEN bezel stopper couldn't be fitted.
Below a pic of the part to be removed in order to dismantle the bezel stopper.

Below is the GEN case without the bezel stopper.

I think the only parts you'll be able to change without too much modification are the hands.
But even for the hands, you have to adapt them because the diameter of the pins is not the same.

Thanks mate! Will try to get it out somehow.

I just changed the HE valve to gen, which was a pita. Ended up drilling the rep one out as it was tight as hell and stuck.
Tapped a new thread and screwed the gen HEv in, fits like a glove.
Lovely Ploprofs you have!

Cheers

Hope You don’t mind me sharing my experiences here in your thread @numero2.

I managed to get the Bezel stopper out by simple drilling it. It’s pressed in the case, white the genuine is screwed.
Gen parts are ready to be put in.

Problem i have now is that the gen bezel stoppers tube is exactly the same diameter as the hole where the press fitted rep one was in.
I‘ll try to tap the hole which might make it a little smaller due to the threads and screw the gen tube in. If that’s Not working i’ll use JBweld to glue it.

Heres a pic.

Cheers
