LOL, I for one don't give a shit if others comment in the sales posts.

Look, alot of guys here have been saved from being taken by some very crappy sales posts, infact some sellers will outright lie, use shitty pics, and completly fabricate many things about a watch and then when called on it they claim they didn't know. So instead of getting all uptight about what somebody posts just reply yourself to the questions asked or make another post leaving your comments. I know theres alot of diffrent things that can happen in these sales threads and every scernario can't be covered but in most cases it is the seller trying to sale some BS story to some unknowning buyer and don't use PP gift you dopes.

Lately, I've see so many members thread crapping sale thread and most of the time the people doing it have less than 10 posts, and have been around for a few weeks.

Where old timers have the decency not to say anything, knowing that we've got a very good Mod and Admin team perfectly able to take care of us, but some noobs seem to know they know much better.

The other day I was lurking on another forum and had to defend RWI, because some guy had his sale thread crapped in here and was very surprised that something like this was happening. Conclusion this guys was saying he would not put anything back on sale here.
We're talking of a guy who's been around the rep foras for over 5 years, the type of guy who always donate to the forum where he sells a watch.
If he was alone, it would not be a problem but I hear and see more and more people who are just afraid of putting anything up for sale at RWI and rather go to other forum to do their sale business. This is sad. And our forum need donation to live long.

So I'll ask it nicely, please stop.

Thanks. If you see any thread crapping, you can use the report feature. ;)

I agree with most of what my brother from a different mother Sub4me said. If I see something fishy, I'll usually pm a mod. They have come in on many occasions and addressed the issue I sent them. That's probably the best way to do it, in order to avoid anarchy.

But it's clear to see when there is something fishy in a sales thread. Most decent watches sell quickly. Rarely do you see a good deal sit there for days.

That's not the way I work.
.... And if I had to report every a$$hole, I'll be spending my time reporting (remember I live in France).

I just ask nicely, saying please, now I also totally agree with sub4me but I wasn't talking about the same thing.

Thread crapping is the unfortunate side-effect of allowing viewers to comment in sales threads -- which is far more beneficial than not.
I frequent WUS and have been very close to pulling the trigger on a few high priced gens over there. But without other guys chiming in, I've been a little worried about spending $2000 and receiving a rep.
Here, anything misrepresented is quickly called out, thus saving many buyers from being ripped off.

yes, I can see sales threads which are priced are like new!
WTH! the watch has already been used and if there was no mods at all, it's expected that the price is cut off with at least 30% from original dealer price!
Otherwise rip offs would be the main reason for selling used reps..
Members here sometimes does not know how to be ashamed at least with a few percentage..mods needs to be more stringent on pricing and watch quality IMHO

Hmm. You would ask the mods to advise a seller how to set the price? Not sure they want that job.

Mods can and will post questions and concerns in a thread along with any other member. They can nuke a bad post. But I don't think we should expect them to participate other than that.

The philosophy at WUS is more to my liking, frankly. But RWI's policy works well, too.

So at least to protect "noob members" from frigging crooks who'd bring a bad reputation to the REP game IMO hence price control suggestions

Look, any seller can ask whatever price they want, I'm aware guys are not supposed to profit on new watches (theres reasons for that and I'm not going into that now), it does not matter what any sellers asking price is. The only thing that matters is the deal being made.

In other words, ask questions, get more pics (if needed), ask more questions, research your seller, and then make an OFFER, no one is making you buy anything, and one more thing DUH use your F'ing head.

Who would dare bring a bad reputation to trafficking in counterfeit goods produced by serial human rights violators and manufactured by children!
