@Frogman, yeah the pearl needs some work. and the bezel needs to be milled down a bit.

and if yours has ETA your friend needs to be slapped cause thats one hell of a deal. how well has it been keeping time?

The watch has been right on....I set it with my computer last night and it is not missing a beat :) .

BTW, thanks for uping your offer to $80...but I think I'm going to hold out for $85.....LOL 8)

Hey Dukie...I plan on changing out the pearl....how about you tackle it first and do a write-up....that way I know what I'm getting myself into .....

this is an interesting sub. it's neither a noobmariner nor a josh nor a vipmariner. it a really good looking sub with a not so conical rehaut unlike the joshs. Can't see the rehaut deep but I bet you it's very deep. The rehaut is almost as thick as the noobmariner's or gen's. The dial is good looking with one flaw. The minute markers don't touch the rehaut => good, and they are not too long, just like the noobmariner's minute markers. The m's lined up too. The flaw is the date window which is too tall and too far to the right along with the cyclop. The cyclop has too much magnification. The CGs are very nicely shaped. You won't need to improve them. The best part is the bezel. Although thin (bottom portion is very thin unlike the gen's or mbw's), it has well defined long bezel teeth.

This sub has the potential to be near perfect like a tw best or mbw. Change to a noob dial, a noob datewheel overlay, a correct cyclop, a watchmaterial insert pearl, and a mbw or gen crown (optional, this crown is marginally ok, correct width but teeth no sharp). Ask your friend where he got it. I'm curious.

Do you mind to tell me where can I find "watchmaterial"

Thanks Dukie....I'd appreciate a nice tutorial.

Also, thanks to bklm1234 for being a wealth of knowledge on this thread....he is a very helpful person and a gentleman to talk to.

I thought I knew what Rehaut was for the longest.....that was until this thread....the pictures posted by bklm1234 clarified my misguided rehaut thoughts.....LOL

i bought that insert before from them (florida watch). It's a gen in the pic. What I got from them was an inferior insert than the $10 one from Jewelry Outlet. Let me know if they really sell you what's in the pic.

BK and Dukie-- if you guys aren't careful, you're going to get a reputation as some of the most helpful, friendly, and knowledgable guys around. And I know you wouldn't want that.

Don't worry, Dukie. I'll ban you a few times to help get your "street cred" back.
