I just got mine in today. I ordered from intime, and while it took awhile, it was all my fault. It really should have been in here in a week, but it took over a month or so because I was asking for him to find the leather strap listed with the BP version. He found it, but yeah. I'll follow up with some pics

Okay pics. First of all, I saw this gen before I pulled the trigger on the rep. It's a big watch, but the rep is accurate in size. So here are the gen pics I took

Looking at the rep, a few things jump out. First, the black hole effect is crazy on this. I legit had to touch the glass to make sure it was there, because it just looks like there is no crystal. Awesome job there. Overall, it looks sharp and accurate. That being said, the biggest difference to gen is just jewelry finish. You can see it in the gen pics I took; the gen sparkles like a 10,000$ watch. While the rep does not look cheap, if you held it side by side with a gen it would be very obvious in person which has been hand polished and which hasnt

what I got (tag and warranty card. Plus the extra strap I ordered. It fits great, but doesnt come with pins or the clasp. Following up with intime about the missing clasp. In hindsight, for the price of the leather strap, while its a perfect fit, I would just have ordered the clasp and had someone make me the strap as its going to be huge, and its crazy stiff. Also, the bracelet is way nicer than I expected

I'll shoot a video of it in action, but everything works as advertised. The divers extension and sliding micro adjuster both work, as does the independent hour hand for true GMT action. Very cool watch

Let me know if you guys want any other pics! Certainly feels like a super rep, def not worth buying gen. I also tested it with a 22mm nato strap. While I liked it, I'm not going to use it very much as it pushes the watch from over 16mm thick to over 19mm. Like I said, big!

Oh duh, links would help huh!

So this is the main purchase https://www.intime05.co/omega/6347-...nd-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a8906-super-clone.html

I then asked him if he could source the straps from this for me, which he did. I fit them to make sure they would work, as he wasnt sure, but I didn't take any mounted shots because I don't yet have the clasp https://www.intime05.co/omega/3719-...el-sliver-numeral-on-leather-strap-a8605.html

Like I said though, while the strap fits (like a glove, it is perfect) the material is so stiff that I am not sure I can recommend it. It's not rubber. It's a padded leather strap with a rubber liner. I'll update once I get the clasp

I think the gen strap is the same, leather with rubber lining.

Oh come on, do you really thing the Omega is polished by hand?? Omega produces Planet Ocean 600's by the tens of thousands per week.

While I don't actually know one way or the other, take a look at those photos. Same phone, same person taking the pictures. The gen isn't even clean, you can see how gross the crystal is in the wrist shots! Sure the store lighting might influence it, but my perception in person is this model is very shiny and blingy. The rep is nice, and pictures can make it look the same. But it doesn't have that same bling factor. There's no disputing that

Wow thanks for the review! Hope mine arrives next week.

But what the heck is wrong with the gen date?

Hah! I was thinking the same when I was putting up these pics but then I remembered; much like the Explorer II, the date is not quick set, and is set by advancing the hour hand. Which is confusing because obviously the normal 24h cycle will also advance it, so you get screwy pics like this where the hour hand near 12 is starting the dateset, even if the time isnt near midnight

A few more shots.

Really showing that cool black hole effect. I think its just the way the hour hand is raised above the dial, and how reflective the ceramic dial is, but its a cool effect

You can see how this compares with some other high end watches too; this is my gen Tudor and Rolex. Also as I noted before, that "bling factor". You can see the light randomly dazzling on the two gens, not so much on the rep. But that black hole effect!

And lastly, some lume shots. I took a normal picture and a nightshot to really bring out the lume, but in general its pretty weak. You can really only see the hour hand and the 24h marker. Grabbed a normal shot compared to the gens as well

Mate, the black hole effect is only particular to Rolex crystals.

What would you call it then? 3d effect? I mean, look at it haha. It's got something unique going on. I dare say it's a much more noticeable effect than whatever people are referring to on the gen rolex

this thing looks awesome, but a bit humongous for my taste. I hope Omega shrinks the watch down to 40/41 and tapers the bracelet, which would make it a perfect watch battling the Rolex GMTs

Personally, I'm surprised with how well it fits; I thought I couldn't go bigger than the 41 of the Tudor GMT. This fits nicely, and the lug design has alot to do with that. However, I hate hate hate hate that Omega felt this watch needed a see through case back. You can tell just looking at the side profile, it's like 3mm thick and it's so pointless. The front of this watch is gorgeous; why they felt the need to make it so thick just to see the rotor I'll never understand.

However, this does feel an awful lot like a seadweller. If you prefer the seadweller over the sub, you will prefer this over the rolex gmt. It's very similar in size and heft and wear

I tried the gen and its surprisingly comfy to wear. The reason is the lug to lug. It wears just like the SD43 and Pelagos. Just slightly thicker than a Tudor GMT.

I pulled the trigger after trying on the gen because I was so impressed with it. Might consider a pre owned gen if I really like the rep.

The term "Black hole effect" is used with Rolex watches to describe the way the magnification on the crystal over the date window looks like at certain angles, like there's a hole in the crystal.

This Omega has great AR, that's it. Like many others.

Ah you learn something new every day! I had read people using the term all the time, and I thought I had seen it used basically whenever someone had work done with the crystal, regardless of the cyclops. I just assumed it referred to the crappy ar/crystal most reps came with, and getting it corrected. Thanks for the explanation!

Sure mate, that's what this place is for :) I had no idea what it meant for a very long time too :D I think that "Look ma' no glass" effect would be a better term for what you see on a watch with great AR ;)
