This week I was away Monday to Friday for an Easter break with my family to a lodge in a holiday park at Lochgoilhead in Scotland. It's a beautiful, secluded place and is only about an hour and 15 minutes drive from Glasgow. There is an hotel on the site (Drimsynie House Hotel) which has leisure facilities, a golf course, bar, restaurant and they run some kids activities so even when the weather is not so nice there are still things to keep the family amused.

We had a lovely, relaxing time enjoying the location, swimming, eating, drinking and generally just chiling out! I took loads of photos and have posted some here - I hope you enjoy them. :)

Firstly, our lodge:-

oh deleroonie - you mock us with every post!

:D

Did you stay in the A frames? They look very cosy - nice but, that drystone wall takes my breath away - that is art right there!

Poochy looks like he's having a great time - interested to know what sort of temperatures you experience there at this time of year - and was the pic of the police station because you got arrested for member-abuse? I mean, why is it that you feel you must always stick it to us non-avenger seadweller owners????

I just hope you had/have a wonderful time ..... thanks for sharing those great pics - looks like you know how to live mate

Beautiful pics Del......calendar worthy! Glad you enjoyed the break mate.

Gorgeous dog too, I'll have to send some recent pics of our Dougie. He's growing at a tremendous rate.

Hope you're refreshed and ready to get posting again. :)

Thanks for the comments guys! :)

To answer some of the questions, my dog's name is Ben. He is a four and a half year old Lab but still acts like he's only six months old!

Yes, we stayed in the A-frame lodge - they are called Eagle lodges on the site. I didn't take any indoor shots but I've attached the web link so you might get some pics there. The Eagle lodge is very spacious and has two bedrooms, both en suite, a downstairs toilet and shower room, large hallway with a cloakroom type walk-in cupboard and a large open plan living area with dining table and decent kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer, etc..). You even have an outdoor decking area with picnic table at the front. There's a large flat screen TV and DVD player in the living area and the master bedroom also has a flat screen TV on the wall - there are about 10 satellite channels.

Temperatures were from about zero overnight to maybe 10 degrees C during the day. Not very warm but as you'll see from the pics we got one cracking sunny day! But unfortunately in Scotland you never know what weather you'll get. Last week we were getting 20-21 degrees C!

Thanks again guys! ;)

Cheers Phil! I love north west Scotland - it's got some stunning scenery and it all starts only 30 minutes from Glasgow with Loch Lomond. Even when the weather is bad, it still manages to impress! ;)

Wow del, very scenic and quiet place. My kind of a vacation with the family for some bonding time. And I see you brought 2 'family' extensions on your wrist.
