Wow, that first pic blows me away. I’ve been looking at so many pics of reps lately and then BAM!
Wear that beauty in good health brother.

The reps are still very good - the ceramec color just isn’t 100% there yet. Don’t let that deter you from purchasing. My v7 was my favorite sub rep... my wrist time with it is actually what motivated me to grab a gen.

With that said, when the light hits the gen in certain areas, it does distinguish itself from the reps released so far. The green is simply stronger.

I remember comparing Hulk with Noob.

The noob dial colour (on the version I had) was surprisingly close to gen.

What is really beginning to annoy me about the gen is the FLAT green insert. It should be more glossy and dynamic IMO.


Biggest let down on the reps (part from bezel insert of course) is the hands and hour marker surrounds IMO. TC KH LV has these on point .....but noob hands and hour surrounds are too flat and look poor.

Lol. Yes, the gen dial is beautiful and dynamic. Stunning.

The gen INSERT is flat in colour. Gen black insert is glossy and dynamic (see comapison below).

I don’t know about that, in your photo it appears that way, but in motion and from different angles mine is very glossy. Gloss is always going to contrast best on black though. Even moving it a half inch direction will change the pattern of the reflection. For instance the reflection Inc your loco insert in is at about 2-3 o’clock and on gen the same reflection is on 11-12 o’clock since it’s angles slightly differently.

I really think it’s the equal as the LN, with darker color of the black simply making the reflection contrast stronger.

Here’s a quick photo of my gen next to my v7 with loco louie insert with spongebob platinum paint mod... just got it back in the mail the other day. Sponge bob does a killer job! The loco louie insert is pretty damn good!

well picked. I had a friend who got the gen while on a trip to Vegas when on waiting list for a couple of years (he goes on a business trip once a year). Got it similar pricing.

it was stunning and felt surprisingly light (first time handling a sub). That got me into looking for higher quality reps and paveway to the eventual Gen purchase in the future.

When I got the call to pick up my gen, I had shipped out my v7 hulk a week prior to spongebob for platinum paint mod and to have my loco louie hulk insert installed. A few days ago I received my watch back, and wanted to post a quick side by side next to gen. This is only a single photo - will be posting more side by sides in different lighting tomorrow. For now -

the platinum mod is on point - hardly distinguishable from gen. As for the loco louie insert - it’s sooo close. In bright light it doesn’t get that emerald green like gen does, but in all other lighting conditions it’s nearly there. Just a little more faded and less saturated when it glows... hard to tell the difference in lower light conditions. Very impressive.

Now, outside on a cloudy day. This is where the color is slightly different. Much closer than all the other inserts so far. Props loco louie, too bad you couldn’t run your business well though. It really was a killer insert.

Spongebob it platinum mod is on point. Unlike other inserts, it changes from grey to white depending on the light sparkling on it. Pure white paint does not have this effect, nor does pure grey paint... which is kind of what stock inserts look like.

Yeah this one is brand new, picked it up from the AD new on May 1st the very day they got it shipped from the manufacturer. So if they’ve done any changes, this is the newest.
