I'm waiting for the day when Ale's gonna rant about how they got the damn composition wrong for the lever pin. Instead of 0.030% carbon they put 0.035% . How hard is to use a fing scale, common guys get this right.

Are these still in production? And gen movement... any links to it?
Na, not the $1500 one. For a fair while there near every example on eBay was a fake and even ADs were missing the fact.

Mind you the current ultimate (around 650 I think yes?) is damn near as good just without gen MVT.

Just out of curiosity, which market would that be? China only?
No, the top of the line reps are sold to crims to onsell as genuine watches. The Cartier is one example. Even if they could get them (which the average dealer can not) think for a minute, would you as a TD want to sell a 2 or 3 thousand dollar watch to you lot? "But the 'Swiss Made' is .25 of a mm too high!" Or the nightmare risk of offering a customs guarantee on a 3k watch? These things are sold in bulk to "certain organisations" not on the street.

Exactly! Which is why Robert (who did deal in these 1:1 watches) wouldn't sell 1:1 (for want of a better term) stuff here. We talked about it and both of us decided it wouldn't be worth the effort when the 1:1 brigade descended with their claims of .25mm errors. So basically the anals cost you guys access to this stuff. That and impossibility of guaranteeing customs clearance on a 1.5 to 3k watch. You can't afford to resend something that owes you 1000 plus.
