how did you break it?Recently broke the bezel insert on my ZF V2.
Can anyone recommend a source for a new one?
Is the KW bezel any better?
how did you break it?
ouch, i didnt know it could break that easily. is it made from ceramic? and its probably best to hit up your td for a replacement insert. sadly dont know of anyone that sells them. asking helenarou may be worth a shot as she sells black bay inserts.Direct hit from a carabiner falling from above.

This week I've ordered a ZF Black Pelagos. Not really sure if it's v2 or v3. I have been assured by the TD it's the latest version.
I'm still not convinced there's any difference - couldn't spot much on my QC pics, bezel font thickness maybe.
Been sitting on shipping info received for a week now
I agree with V6 being the best. Mostly build quality is better and attention to small details. ZF for example have a big problem with the Bezels on almost all the Black Bays and they are very stiff to turn whereas V6 doesnt. Or at least i havent heard anyone complain about that yet.Placed a order for the KW v2, hoping I wont regret this. Spend countless hours searching which one is the best.
Choose the V6F mainly because the I read the quality is better.
But I think its like buying a new TV, once it hangs that one is the best, since it's yours.
Waiting on the QC, will report when I recieve it and post the QC pictures if you guys want.
View attachment 77109 View attachment 77110 I've ordered a V6 v2 as I decided there was better feedback on build quality. I have just received QC though and I have two potential issues.
- 1 and 9 markers seem crooked - assuming a lot of pelagos suffer from this and hopinh not noticeable on the wrist?
- There seems to be white marks on the bezel for 9 marker (lume application?)
Are these reasons to reject? I don't think the markers will be visible on the wrist but the white marks could be.
Honestly those are some of the best markers I've seen on QC closeups. You can barely see the recess either side of the markers with your naked eye - you won't be able to notice any issues in person.
The Bezel '20' and 9 marker are a little smudged, but not sure whether that's grounds enough for rejection. If you're leaning that way perhaps ask if they can see whether wiping with a damp cloth can clean them up a bit?
Thanks Awesomo. TD has sent another picture
