Just bought this watch from JackP who linked me here. Excellent review. Interesting that the bezel on the gen seems slightly off alignment too. I'd be interested to see the gen in person.

Well, I was at an AD a few days ago and played with the gen 389 for about two hours, and man was I impressed!
Impressed with the quality of the REP, just to be clear

Got the ZFac P series (latest "ZP9000" 7750) from Angus last November >> small review here.
The weight, construction, bezel knurling, position, the date font and even the slightly rounded pearl looked absurdly close to me.
Bezel on the GEN felt exactly the same 1-2mm REP-loose when applying strength to rotate it.

Only things noticeable after starring at the picture I took were the 12 and 6 markers, that indeed are a bit thinner on the GEN.
The lume on the hands look glossier on the GEN and its date font seems a bit bolder. Plus the GEN accordion strap feels way softer than REP.
The 15/30/45 studs' font is slightly thinner on the GEN.
Due to obvious reasons I only snapped one picture, then I cropped and did the "side by side" below.
Please, excuse the lightning conditions and smudges.

Exactly. This P series is amazing, with minimal 'tells'. Can't say much about KW case as I haven't seen it in person.
One thing I'd add are the CG's chamfers that - as opposed to Polonus' - are there on my ZFac.

Bumping an old thread.. I know..

I just wanted to chime in saying that the gen bezel feels pretty crap too. There's a lot of play, and it is not very smooth at all. So even if it feel bad on the rep, that's because they did a good job copying the terrible feel of the gen.

Is there an easy way to visually tell a ZF from a KW version?

I've picked one up and have no idea what it is?

Pearl and side profile should differ.
ZF has flatter pearl and more angled side shape of the case near the lugs, as I recall but I could be wrong.
Pics could surely help

Yes, movement is seagull. This is another hint it's a kw, along with the pearl.
Balance cock has non inverted layout compared to gen, so I would say it features all the most recent bells and whistles

bumping this thread a bit. Why on the gen and in the reps the pearl and markers are all shifted a click to the right? The gen wasn't aligned to center and the reps just copied it?
