That's why I have asked. Definitely, the Asian copy of 7750-based rattrapante is not based on Habring's invention. I have tried to detect what would be genuine of such movement as used in rep PAM 213.
All I had were observations:
- the movement has no visible difference from the back when comparing with regular 7750 along with autowind capability
- the rattrapante button is located at 8 o'clock
- the way secondary rattrapante hand synchronises with main chrono hand - that swinging move, easy visible. (genuine PAM 213 has rapid reset, both hands movement is stiff and rapid).
So I have started to find our what gen watches could match the same behaviours and details. So far I found:
- Eberhard Extra-Fort Rattrapante Chronograph
- Chopard Mille Miglia Split-Second XL
..and in both above examples the movement is ETA 7750 with Dubois-Depraz add-on module.
Now there are two possibilities:
1 - they have a stock of gen Dubois-Depraz add-on module in limited quantities and just snapped them on top of regular A7750
or
2 - they copied Dubois-Depraz add-on module and use on regular A7750
The price difference from regular A7750 with sapphire glass to this rep PAM 213 is about USD 250,- which makes first possibility kind of possible...
