It depends on how much tail you like on your strap. But since the strap is thick it wears a bit smaller. A 140/90 will wear more like a 135/80

Ah okay great. I have the octopus in 75-125 and its a great length, but is a thinner strap than most vintage style straps I've had such as bosphorus

I'd second the Gamma for this, mine is bouncing between the Octopus and the Gamma on a regular basis
