I join the Bonzo club, finally.
Today arrived my PAM671 T Bronzo XF V2 from chazingtime.
And as always when I get a new PAM, i full service the movement. But not without making some pics of the watch.
As we all know the Bronzo develop patina very fast, so the first step was resetting the patina to zero.
We had a lot of threads about this reset and I tried it with Sprite and lemon juice.
This was how the watch arrived
this was my setup for the reset
I just put the 671 in a bowl with sprite and the procedure begins immediately with some bubbles all around the watch
Next step was the lemon juice
The watch was inside this mixture for around 10-15 minutes
And this is how the 671 comes out
Ok, I put the strap back on the watch for the photo box
Some close ups
Case back
And the “P.9010” movement
It’s really cool how good this deco plates are.
First step for the movement service is removing the rotor and ist not always easy with this deco rotors.
The 3 screws are also just deco and the whole thing is one big center screw.
So you can unscrew the roter with a tweezers if you remove two of the 3 deco screws
Next step is the movement deco. My tip is, just take a closer look to the screws at the deco and you will find the real screws. Because the real screws will always have sings from a screwdriver.
This one just look to good to be a real screw
And this is how a real screw in a rep watch looks
So just remove the two real screws and than you can remove the plate
Underneath we find the standard A7750 clone movement. Easy to service and easy to repair
Next step is removing the CG
And the crown
Now we remove the movement from the case
So we have the chance to make some close ups of the dial
I was really surprised to see the hands a very dirty
But don’t forget, this are extremely close ups under a brutal light. You don’t see the dirt under normal conditions and a normal light.
Hands removed
It’s very hard to photograph this shiny little CP
Next step is removing the dial
The dial is glued to the movement ring and also have some feet
now we can see the blue DW
The rest is just a normal service for a A7750
XF use a good clone for this watch and I have seen much worse A7750 movements
BTW, the CP is still a cap
At the end some wrist shots with a corrigia strap
My resume is, the new Bronzo 671 form XF is a nice watch. The bronze case is very cool and has his own life.
But to be honest, I just like the look without patina and the blue dial is very special and makes it hard to find a fitting strap.
IMO just a blue strap will work with this special watch.
Edit:
The bezel turns really really hard after all this lemon juice, sprite, ketchup thing.
But a little drop of WD40 underneath the bezel solve this problem quickly
Just a drop and than turn the bezel 3-4 times.
