I've used (or rather David's used) both [email protected] and [email protected]. In fact in one email he forwarded some pics to his gmail account from his yahoo account which he then forwarded to me. Hahaha

Anyway, both are fine, although now I mainly communicate with his yahoo email account.

He sent me some QC pics I can post. I asked what if any guarantees he had and if the case was Titanium. I can post the pics later today for review...

So, got an email back from DSN. They do in fact have these in stock or rather, available. BUT... He did state that it is not made at a well known factory. Just some small factory.

Not sure how to take that?

Isn't he regarded as having really good 172s? Here are the QC pics. Are you able to determine the quality of the rep?

Not sure if an optical illusion due to reflections, but the lower right corner below the CG looks like a step is there. But at the shot from the top looking at the face, it isn't there...

172 is a watch made (or having made) directly by Davidsen. It lacks in finishing compared to the big factories, but it's your only choice for a 172.
This model is particularly different than gen as the midcase is made of titanium which is lighter colored (and way lighter) than tantalium.
It looks nice to me though

I also see two versions on Puretime. One is $568 and one is $168. I am not sure on ETA6497 vs A6497 movement... And the $168 doesn't show anything...
