The curved top CG is a dealbreaker for me. The dial looks pretty good - easily as good as any of the tobacco dial reps we've ever seen. Case back is OK. The movement decoration doesn't bother me one bit, it's a solid case back. Could be an undecorated 6497 in there for all I care.

Fix the CG and this would qualify as a "super rep" for me.

The CG should be the same shape as any A-F series Panerai Luminor. I'm having a tough time finding a pic of a gen 040 crown guard.

On the Video from Josh he turns the watch VERY quick so we can NOT see the side of the CG

But it sure is NOT the right shape of a A-F CG!

In my eyes it is a big difference between the A-F Cg and the lastest series and it is VERY difficult to make a Sead A-F ti CG look correct, believe me I have tried on three of them.

The profile is very special on it and not flat on the top and much thinner in profile than the later CG:s

First let me apologize for my pictures. I have a horrible camera, bad lighting, and no skills! And it's my first time trying to photograph a watch.

First, here are some gen pics that were not taken by me (obviously!)

And the rep:

Items that I have noted (and have been noted previously):
-Font on "LUMINOR MARINA" AND "PANERAI" on face appear slightly thinner than on gen
-Case back engraving is shallower on rep
-Crown guard has slightly rounded top vs. flat on gen

Overall, very nice piece, extremely happy with it. In person you really have to look for the rounded CG, it is not at all obvious with a glance.

Can push for a pam 117 now? Best pam imo and no one talks about them....
