I have the noob 026. Case color is very close to black. If I wash the case with windex so its void of fingerprints yes it could be termed dark gray. However just like the h factory 360 it only takes a short while for the case color via handling to make it several shades darker in color.
As much as I love noob pans you cannot call the 026 a super rep if its case color is quite obviously too dark. ANYONE who has the gen or seen the gen will call out this watch in an instant. The gen 026 is not black in color whereas for all intents or purposes the noob pam 026 is.
A Noob Panerai with closed CB is a super-rep in my opinion.
The shade of DLC is almost impossible to judge from pics so I mark that as a questionmark.

I believe that the tread regarding the noob 360 was quite conclusive that it is too dark in color. Angus has stated several times that BOTH the noob 026 and 360 share the same case color. They are too dark.
Previous versions of this model (prior to 1:1 noob) have several MORE obvious flaws and they are classified as super reps. The "slightly" darker colour (if it is) is very difficult to point out. Especially if its not sitting next to the gen side by side. Gen photos also show the gen case in various lights and the colour always varies...pointing out the rep is almost impossible unless they are next to each other and seen in person.
This rep is a SUPER REP hands down.
Disagree. In almost all lighting conditions the dial of the gen looks darker than the case. I am wearing the noob 026 and under almost all lighting conditions the case is as dark or darker than the dial. It stands out like a sore thumb and makes the watch look odd. Gen 360 and 026 DO NOT have a near black case.

Could noob have updated the 26? As seen in this advert here it seems quite light in colour and had the updated movement, and as seen in my QC pic men also looks light in colour

in real life it is a shade darker,
as i took the picture under strong white light, it seems lighter in color

Perry very good point. I've spent the the last 24 hrs doing the same comparison...the dial IS the same black as the case while several of the gen photos appear to have the contrast (dial darker than case)
The case color being so dark in my opinion makes the watch look cheap. Very non gen like. Also all these DLC cases become several shades darker as they are handled. If I take my H factory 360 and wash it with soap and water the case color looks very light. Handle it for even a short time and the case color is darker and more gen like. With the 026 if I wash the case indeed the case color becomes lighter but STILL too dark! Upon handling its nearly black!
Won't applying cape code on the case lighten the blackness a bit? I think some members used to do that to the very first version of this watch, the 26k hfact..
I've seen it done by fowwiee over at RG, with very nice results. It was repeated by another member issrag16, on his PAM360V1.
