Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum, i am looking to make a purchase from a TD and looked at purchasing from PureTime, however my question is - how safe is it to use a bank transfer to purchase as I know there is no comeback from this.

Do you guys trust the TD's enough to pay by bank transfer or do you use a different method?

Thanks in advance.

Hello and WELCOME to RWI from the official reception desk!

You are receiving this message because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or due to one of your first posts elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in said section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all sticky threads in the new members area. They contain very important / essential information and our forum rules! Most importantly our sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / be allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Also, take a look again at this sticky:

And this one as well:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We love to help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Does Puretime offer bank transfer? If they do, it's definitely safe...

Scammers will distract you long enough with fake tracking numbers until it's too late to do any chargebacks. Credit card payments won't help you when getting scammed...

So, yes, we absolutely trust them. Puretime is one of the bigger TDs and has had Trusted status for a long time. The Trusted label isn't awarded just to anyone who wishes to get it.

A TD always gets thoroughly vetted by staff first and has to demonstrate a positive track record during a probation period. And in case of any disputes, as a member of this community, we have a pretty good amount of leverage beyond having an excellent relationship with them in the first place to help you. If there's any evidence for misconduct by a TD (a rather rare occurrence, btw), we can make them "not misconduct" by applying different levels of pressure from soft to threatening to revoke that status.

So, yes, it's as safe as buying counterfeit products can possibly be.

Just make sure you only use contact details on RWI, never, I repeat, NEVER through Google. The 10 first Puretimes there are fake Puretime impostors and they will definitely scam you!

Yes. If its from a Trusted Dealer payment method, I am very sure its 100% safe.

Have fun in the forums.

Cheers

Personally, I’d recommend using more secure payment methods where possible, such as PayPal or credit card payments, as these often come with better buyer protection. That being said, services like paykassma.com can offer a more seamless and secure online payment experience, making it easier to manage your transactions while reducing the risk associated with large payments. With PayKassma, you can access a wide range of secure payment options to suit your needs and minimize potential issues when purchasing from TDs.
Hi there!

Welcome to the forum! When it comes to purchasing from TDs (Trusted Dealers), bank transfers can sometimes feel a bit risky because, as you mentioned, they don’t offer much recourse if something goes wrong. That said, many reputable dealers will accept bank transfers and have built trust within the community, which can reduce some of that concern.

If you're comfortable using a bank transfer and you’ve done your research on the TD and their reputation, it can be a safe method. However, always ensure the dealer has solid reviews and feedback from other customers to ensure they’re trustworthy.

Personally, I’d recommend using more secure payment methods where possible, such as PayPal or credit card payments, as these often come with better buyer protection. But again, it depends on the TD's policies and the level of trust you have with them.

It's always good to err on the side of caution and do some background checks. If you're unsure, it might be worth reaching out to others in the community to hear about their experiences with the TD you're considering.

Good luck with your purchase!

You know, if you attempt to invoke your "buyer protection" without first getting approval or communicating with the Mods, you could end up in hot water?

The reason TDs (Trusted Dealers) hold that status is because they’ve been thoroughly vetted. And if things go south, the Mods are here to step in and assist. Buyer protection should really be the last resort if everything else fails.
