Can someone possibly post a picture/label of the 177, 219, 005, 308 or the 288 please.

I'm not too worried about the accuracy, it's the reliability I'm worrying about. I do have pretty good confidence with a7750 (unmodified) and a6497 (a liitle bit loader but works fine), but not so much with a2824-2 or a2836-2 or 21j. For the price I'm paying, I would like to last for couple years at very least or at lease an option to swap for Swiss parts because it's hard to find anybody wants to service the Asian 35j unless the replacement movement is very easy to find. Another note on this watch, my observation says it has bit of sunken dw. Am I seeing right?

I like the looks on the 219, but I'm not sure about the reliability of the Seagull movement? Can someone comment on that? I have a newer version of 236k with A7753 movement, the built quality is pretty awesome, but not sure how accurate it is.

BCE- what watch are you referencing? The 219 (as well as the 177, 005 and 318) has the bullet-proof 6497 which is very reliable. It does not have a Seagull movement. The Seagull 25j and 35J's are outstanding auto movements, and are very reliable, but you won't find the Seagull in the 219. The Seagull is used in the current version of the 312,328 etc. series. It is also used in the best quality IWC Big Pilot reps. Of the movements you list in your second post, I would rate the 7750 and 7753 as the least reliable. 7750's are certainly more fragile than the other movements you listed.

I see what you were saying. I just looked the 219 one more time, I was mistaken it for another model. I thought it was the one with smaller fiddy case and date. Sorry about that! :)

I was referring 328. Is this a good rep or a good watch? Does the rep have sunken dw? Thanks!

I was referring 328. Is this a good rep or a good watch? Does the rep have sunken dw? Thanks!

I have owned the last two versions of the 328. The current 328 is decent, but is not at the same level of quality of the 177, 219, 005, etc.

The biggest problem with the current 328 (to me) is that the date window is not the correct size or shape, or placed correctly, and the date wheel font is off. Otherwise, it is not bad. Lume color seems a bit off as well, but not too bad. The movement is way off, but that can't be avoided as the rep factories have not made any attempt to accurately rep the in house Panerai movements.

If you are interested in the 328, wait a bit, as Puretime (Angus) is taking pre-orders on an improved 328 that is to be released soon (312, same watch as 328, just with a leather strap instead of a bracelet). The date window on this new 328/312 looks to be pretty accurate, but only pics of the dial have been released, so who knows what the rest looks like. If you don't want to wait, you can buy the current 328. It has dropped in price a fair bit over the last few months. I seem to recall someone saying that Time Shop is selling them for around $130 or so (they were around $200 a few months ago).

Here is a pic of my 328 (current version described above), before I sold it:

and this is the prior version (which I also sold), and it is a TERRIBLE rep, so don't buy it:

I was going to post a new threat but Its just a question so I think will be better to make the question here ( or somewhere else ) instead of posting another threat..

Well maybe PecMan or anybody can help me..

What's the difference between the 286J and this 253 I ??

http://www.asian7750.com/cn/product_show.asp?big_pid=&ps_id=144&P_id=2093&ti=

Looks the same watch from same factory but just missing the fake pusher on the left (the pusher that PecMan told us its fake and doesn´t do anything...)...

Or is there any difference that makes better choice the 286J??

I'm asking this bcause there are no 286J on Tony's asian7750.com And I'm thinking about buying from him again (good dealer, good comunication, good prices and shipping....)... But I'm not sure if the 253I is as good as the 286J...
