Panerai....so many to choose from

Hi there,

and welcome to the chaos going on inside of my head...... The panerai line up is endless. yet there are only 4 base models to choose from, Radiomir, Luminor, Lumionr Due and Submersible.

In the M2M section I see a few that have caught my eye, however, to actually pick one of them seems like an impossible task. If I were to soley base my decision on looks it would be one thing. But since I also have to consider movement it becomes another task at hand.

Im therefore hoping I could get some help with this....

- PAM979 Carbotech Submersible MM CB/RU Carbon VSF P9000 ( Super Clone P9000 Automatic movement, 28800bph, Cut out design Rotor as per genuine, Modified to P9000 Calibre Look)

- ZF Panerai 671 Bronze ( P9010 clone movement)

- 312 pam and Kw factory (and googling a little bit i think this is the movement P.9000 with inverted layout based on Seagull ST2555 )


OR should I holdout for another one, in that case what can you recommend?

You should consider the XF V2 671, if you can find one. Although, I'm a fan of the Blu Abisso, Pam1074!

These questions are just as impossible to answer as your question. Ultimately, it is a question of subjective taste. All the models you mentioned are fine. But we can't help you with questions of taste.

@Commander Straker thank you! i just read up on the XF as I hadnt heard of that.
i seems XF is superior overall, however as that one is not available but rather the ZF, which doesnt seem to lack to far behind, maybe ill go for that. I do love the bronze !!! Im just afraid its gonna look funny walking around with that behemoth on my 17 cm wrists!

The "Clone-Movements" from VSF are reliable but in case of a failure it´s not that easy to get spareparts.
The ZF 671 has - when I remember correct - a A7750 decorated as P9010. I don´t think it´s a "real" clone. A7750 with small second at 9 are also quite reliable and here it should be easy to get spare parts ... though I don´t know, if ZF uses some unique modules, which might be impossible to get.
KW 312 is available with A7750 and Seagull ... afaik the Seagull is quite reliable too and you should get spare sparts.

But the big point is the availability of the watches! All three are rare, so you must have a lot of luck, to get one of these three models in M2M ;-)

The 671 although I prefer the 1074. But I like bronze watches.
The 312 is - for my taste - too thick, the 979 is very nice but a little bit boring ;-)

unfortunately, the hay day of PAM replicas are in the past. Many years ago, there were fabulous options from a number of different factories/modders. The only way to access those treasures is M2M now.

hopefully, we will see a return of old classics being made like the 213, 288, 163 to name a few. the 088 that was released is hopefully the start of more to come.
